I am thrilled to share some Greenwich community events that will add fun to your February calendar! Looking forward to seeing you throughout the month!

Sam Bridge's Winter Market

February 1st | 9:30am-1:00pm | Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses

The market will be held on Saturdays through May 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and there will be both weekly and rotating vendors. A full list of everything that is available is online here and you can see they are hosting quite a diverse group of local farmers and artisan vendors.

Shoppers will be able to get local produce, meats, baked goods, greens and lots more and the market will be indoors in Sam Bridge’s greenhouses so people can also check out tropical flowers, house plants and gardening supplies to get you ready for spring.

Greenwich Audobon Center at Teatown Hudson River Eaglefest

February 1st | 9:00am-4:00pm | Croton Point Park

Celebrate the Bald Eagles of the Hudson River at Teatown’s 21st annual Hudson River EagleFest! Attendees can visit the Greenwich Audobon Center and many other local environmental organizations and vendors inside a fully-heated event tent.

They will be sharing information about local raptors, their conservation work, upcoming programs, and more!

Blood Drive

February 3rd | 1:30pm-6:30pm | Greenwich Reform Synagouge

Appointments preferred, walk-ins accommodated on a space available basis.

Astronomy Hike & Campfire

February 5th | 6:30pm-8:30pm | Lapham Preserve

Come along on a medium-intensity nighttime hike through our Lapham Preserve. The walk will finish in the meadow with a fire and an introduction to the night sky. Learn about the moon’s phases and how to locate some common constellations in the winter sky. Hot chocolate and S’mores will be provided.

Flashlights and binoculars are encouraged! Sturdy, waterproof footwear along with warm clothes are recommended.

Free for GLT Members; $10 for non-members. Space is limited to 25 people and pre-registration is required.

Winter Tree Walk

February 6th | 1:00pm-2:30pm | Converse Brook Preserve

GTC is excited to partner with Greenwich Land Trust and offer guests a chance to learn how to identify tree species during the winter at GLT’s new Converse Brook Preserve. On this guided forest walk, we will discuss ways to look closer at the diverse features of bark, branches, and buds to see a varied winter landscape. Sturdy, waterproof footwear along with warm clothes are recommended.

Talk & Trivia After-Hours at the Bruce

February 6th | 5:30pm-7:00pm | the Bruce Museum

Join us for a lively and engaging evening at the Bruce Museum! Grab a slice of pizza, a refreshing beer, and get ready to flex your brainpower with our fun-filled trivia game, moderated by museum staff.

Town Ice Skating Competition

Greenwich Recreation is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated Greenwich Town Ice Skating Competition! Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 23, 2025, as the Dorothy Hamill Rink comes alive with thrilling performances and friendly competition. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM and promises a day filled with excitement for participants and spectators alike.

This year’s competition will feature a variety of events, including Snowplow Sam, Aspire, Well-Balanced, Excel, and more. Skaters of all levels are invited to showcase their skills and compete for medals and special honors.

Kids in Crisis Après Ski Annual Gala

Join Kids In Crisis and Gala Co-chairs Lacy Carroll, Elizabeth Kelly, and Caroline Sutton for a cozy and fabulous evening at an Après Ski Soirée.

Let's gather at The Loading Dock in Stamford in Après Ski Chic - think alpine elegance meets mountain lodge charm - to toast your commitment to an incredible cause. Our glamorous slope-side celebration kicks off at 6:30 PM with great music, dinner, and dancing that's sure to keep you warm all night long.

Proceeds from the evening will directly support Kids In Crisis' award-winning shelter, counseling, and outreach programs, helping children in need across Connecticut. Don't miss the chance to hit the social slopes and make a lasting impact in our community.
