Greenwich Library Friends Family Films: Twisters

January 3rd | 7:00pm-9:00pm | Greenwich Library

Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Hamilton’s Anthony Ramos star in this cinematic surge of adrenaline about bands of scientists and activists tracking storms in Oklahoma. Greenwich Library Flinn Gallery Opening: Extra Extra

January 16th | 6:00pm-8:00pm | Greenwich Library

EXTRA EXTRA features the work of three abstract artists, Palma Blank, Doreen McCarthy and Stephen Maine. Sharing a common strategy, they create bold artworks of visual abundance and intensity. Each artist approaches their work with distinct processes and materials to convey visual energy and chromatic sensation. Equally assertive and playful, the exhibition aims to engage our visual perceptions with something a little bit “extra”! Curated by Kirsten Pitts.

MLK Jr. Day: Acts of Community Service for Animals -- Fun Fur All

January 20th | 12:00pm-4:00pm | Bruce Museum

Join us for our annual MLK Family Day – Acts of Community Service. This year’s theme is all about being good neighbors to our animal friends. Explore the museum with your friends and family to find all of the animals in the art and science galleries. Guests will be able to participate in hands-on activities that help our animal friends and learn about how wild animals spend their winter season.

Please join us with your little ducklings for the Bruce’s Family Benefit at the Bruce!

A family evening of crafts, activities, and adventures for kids of all ages. Come dressed in your favorite pajamas or duck-inspired attire!

Creative boxed dinner and themed treats for kids; beer, wine, and light bites for adults.

Foundation of Hope Charity Celebration

January 25th | 6:00pm | Hyatt Regency Greenwich

The Foundation of Hope Charity Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and hosted at the Greenwich Regency Hyatt, 1800 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT.

Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and live entertainment. Experience inspiring performances and a night of dancing. Participate in a silent art auction, where all proceeds directly support programs for those in need--particularly at-risk and homeless youth. This annual event facilitates connections between public and private Elementary, Middle, and High School students and exhibitors, fostering discussions about a myriad of summer opportunities.
