I am excited to share with you some Greenwich community events to add fun to your July calendar! Looking forward to seeing you throughout the month!
Greenwich 4th of July Celebration
July 4th | 9:00am | Greenwich Town Hall
The ceremony will feature an American flag raising and a salute to the patriots who served during the American Revolution. There will be music, and an American flag birthday cake for all to enjoy after the ceremony.
Greenwich Farmer's Market
Every Saturday | 9:30am-1:00pm | Greenwich Municipal Parking Lot
The market is open each Saturday through November 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located at the Greenwich municipal parking lot at the corner of Horseneck Lane and Arch Street, exit 3 off I-95.
Purchase fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, microgreens, jams and preserves, plants, beef, poultry, lamb, pork, eggs, cheeses, herbs, raw milk, maple syrup, seafood, mushrooms, coffee, juices, flowers, breads, pies, and more!
Pets are not allowed in the market area.
Firefly Nights
July 5th, 10th, & 11th | @ 8:30pm | Greenwich Audubon Center
Greenwich Audubon Center invites you for a nighttime adventure as they seek out one of the summer’s most incredible insects: the firefly!
On July 5, 10, and 11 they’ll be hosting their annual Firefly Nights to enjoy their dazzling displays at the Greenwich Audubon Center! They'll start the evening with a presentation on these special critters and what we can do to protect them. Then, you will venture out into their meadow to catch a glimpse of their mesmerizing bioluminescence as darkness falls.
Recommended for ages 3 and up
Please bring a plastic hole punched jar (No glass, please!)
Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Fourth of July Fireworks
Saturday July 6th | Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park
The Fireworks Displays will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park. Whether you choose the spacious fields of Binney Park or the scenic beauty of Greenwich Point, there’s a perfect spot for your family to enjoy the festivities. Binney Park will feature live entertainment by the Sound Beach Community Band, while Greenwich Point will have a DJ to keep the energy high.

Regular entry rules for Greenwich Point apply. Vehicular access to the Point closes at 8 p.m. or earlier, if parking capacity is reached.

East Coast Gold Cup - Greenwich Polo Club
July 7th, 14th, & 21st | Greenwich Polo Club
Greenwich Polo Club was established in 1981 and is recognized as one of the top high-goal polo venues in the world. Known for its unmatched roster of legendary teams, professional players, and champion equine athletes GPC hosts some of the most important tournaments in polo, including the prestigious East Coast Open.
Greenwich Sidewalk Sales
July 11th-14th | Greenwich Avenue
Thursday through Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Over 80 stores will participate in this annual event that attracts hundreds of shoppers and visitors to central Greenwich who are seeking bargains. Participating retailers will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event will be held rain or shine.
Shoppers are encouraged to use public lots located on side streets for parking to avoid the congestion on Greenwich Avenue. Town lot maps can be found on the Greenwich Chamber website or the town website.
18th Annual Pleasantville Music Festival

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, the Pleasantville Music Festival will once again be rocking. Thousands of friends, families and lovers of live, world-class rock, setting out their chairs, blankets and tents, going up to the stage and dancing.
Food and drink, a beer & wine garden for the adults, fun activities to keep the kids happy, and a zero-waste program to keep the Earth happy. Plus stuff to buy, charities to learn about, and a warm, positive backyard vibe.
All combined with world-class headliners, breakout stars and local artists you need to know, hand-picked and brought to our stages by dedicated music fans.
Beach Ball
Saturday July 13th | @ 6:00pm | Greenwich Point Park
The Greenwich Point Conservancy will hold its annual Beach Ball benefit under a fabulous marquee tent on the bluff overlooking Manhattan. The Beach Ball has become a highlight of the summer for many who love Greenwich Point.
With your past support the GPC has completed work on the Old Barn, the Gateway and Gateway Gardens, and Innis Arden Cottage. Our current fundraising efforts are focused on the restoration of the spectacular Chimes Building (circa 1896), which is one of the most beautiful and unique late 19th century buildings on the Connecticut shoreline.
Greenwich Land Trust - Vegetable Garden Tour
July 25th | @ 6:00pm
This self-guided tour gives you access to some amazing vegetable and kitchen gardens in Greenwich thanks to a collaboration between Greenwich Land Trust and Greenwich Community Gardens.
People will also have a chance to learn from experienced gardeners and improve their own green thumbs.
The Tour de Veggie will highlight the amazing vegetable and kitchen gardens found throughout the Greenwich Community. The goal is to inspire our neighbors to grow food in their backyards that will not only benefits our entire community but provides food for pollinators who help to ensure a healthy ecosystem.
Guest will visit six exceptional private and community vegetable gardens located throughout Greenwich.
River of Dreams: A Tribute to Billy Joel
Saturday July 27th | @ 7:00pm | Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
River of Dreams is a 6-piece authentic Billy Joel tribute band, that performs captivating renditions of classic Billy Joel songs. John Coz is as close to Billy Joel in looks AND sound as you will find,a TRUE TRIBUTE! Along with players that are among the best musicians on the east coast ,this band will excite, thrill and move you!
All concerts start at 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Rain dates are on Thursdays. No pets or grills are allowed.
