March Events In Greenwich

March Events In Greenwich

Welcome to March. I am excited to share with you some Greenwich community events to add fun to your March calendar! Looking forward to seeing you throughout the month.

Kids in Crisis Annual Gala "Rock the Dock!"
March 1st | 6:30pm | Abigail Kirsch at The Loading Dock

We invite you to Rock the Dock – the Kids In Crisis Annual Gala. Join Gala Co-chairs Amber Boissonneault and Sean McMurtry at The Loading Dock in Stamford for a celebration that has a lasting impact on the children in our community. Slip into your best retro-prep, pop your collar, and arrive dockside on Friday, March 1st at 6:30 pm to rock out with the Yacht Lobsters band and party emcees Jeff Glor and Michael Kay.

Your participation at this dockside bash supports the award-winning shelter, counseling, and outreach programs Kids In Crisis provides Connecticut children in need.

Don’t miss the boat on this unforgettable night and the chance to make a meaningful impact in our community!

YWCA Women Who Inspire Awards
March 6th | 5:30pm | Greenwich Country Club

YWCA Greenwich is holding its Annual Women Who Inspire Awards to recognize exceptional women in our community. YWCA Greenwich’s Women Who Inspire Awards was established to recognize and celebrate outstanding women who have excelled in philanthropic, professional, and volunteer pursuits. Importantly, these honorees have enriched the lives of many in our community. This event combines the best of the YWCA Greenwich BRAVA and Spirit of Greenwich Awards and acknowledges the changes in society that have led to the fluidity of work/life pursuits for women of today.

Greenwich Library - Friends Friday Films: Little Women
March 8th | 7:00pm | Greenwich Library

Gerwig’s adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved classic draws not only from the novel but from Alcott’s own life story and other writings. This approach allows for Alcott’s ahead-of-her-time ideals to be woven into the truly timeless story of the March sisters coming of age in 1860s Concord. A love letter to Alcott and her novel, this warm, beautiful film was nominated for and won several Academy Awards. Rated PG. 2h15m.

Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade
March 17th | 2:00pm

The parade will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17, at 2 p.m. beginning at the Greenwich Town Hall.

Note to parade participants: There will be shuttle buses taking marchers from the parking area by the finish (Island Beach parking lot) to the start of the parade at Town Hall.

Longtime Representative Town Meeting moderator Thomas Byrne has been named grand marshal for the 48th annual Greenwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Friends of Greenwich Point “Safe Roads Sundays”
