YWCA Old Bags Luncheon

May 2nd | 11:00am-2:00pm | Belle Haven Club

A signature event for YWCA Greenwich, profits from this luncheon and auction of new and gently used handbags fund YWCA Greenwich’s Harmony Project. Highlights of the event include a survivor speaker and arousing premier auction featuring an iconic Hermes Birkin bag modeled by Greenwich Police and Emergency Medical staff.

HoliFest 2024 India Cultural Center

May 4th | 3:00pm-6:00pm | Roger Sherman Baldwin Park

ICC's marque event, HoliFest, returns to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park inGreenwich Saturday, May 4th, from 3 to 6 p.m. It is bigger and better thanever. Shivaay Dance Academy will be performing and leading the crowd indancing. Pizza Vitale Truck is creating Indian flavored pizzas and Dhabewala will be serving Punjabi food. There will be a tent just for teens. And there will be lots more kids and family activities. Everyone will receive a FREE white t-shirt to wear during the color throw. Plus, each family willreceive a HoliFest gift bag from Cafe Spice as they leave.

HoliFest is ICC's opportunity to share the joy and playfulness of one ofIndia's biggest holidays. Mother's Day Workshop at Bloomcourt Farm

May 16th | 11:00am-1:00pm | River House

Join Madeline Wachtel, flower farmer and owner of Bloomcourt Farm, for a flower-filled day touring her farm, enjoying an al fresco lunch, discussing growing and harvesting techniques for spring flowers, and making arrangements. Flowers that will likely be in bloom at that time include Ranunculus, Poppies, Anemone, Specialty Tulips, Agrostemma, Heirloom Narcissus, Forget-me-nots, Orlaya, and possibly the first of the peonies! Guests will see how growing in covered structures can extend the growingseason in zone 6B. Vessel included!

The schedule:

10am-11am: Arrive and take a tour of the courts.

11am-12pm: Floral Workshop. Guests can bring home their creationsincluding a lovely vase!

12pm-1pm: Lunch on the Farm catered by Susan Lawrence

Breast Cancer Alliance 5K for Hope

May 5th | 9:00am | Richards, 359 Greenwich Ave

On Sunday, May, 5 at 9:00am Join family, friends and neighbors for Breast Cancer Alliance’s annual 5K for Hope! Run or walk as we honor and remember loved ones, friends and colleagues who have faced breast cancer and raise money to help BCA do its part to eradicate this disease. 100% of proceeds raised from this event will be designated for BreastCancer Alliance Screening and Support Services grants. Join us before the race starts for breakfast bites and face painting for the little ones!

Funds raised from this event support educational programs and resources accessible to all students and teachers in Greenwich schools; stewardship of the National Historic Landmark Bush-Holley House, landscape and gardens; and Greenwich Historical Society's award-winning American art and history exhibitions.

39th Annual Outdoor Crafts Festival

May 18th & 19th | 10:00am-5:00pm | Bruce Museum

This festival features fine contemporary hand-made crafts in jewelry, wearable and decorative fiber, glass, furniture and housewares, pottery, and much more, all available for purchase along with demonstrations and food.

Festival parking: Island Beach parking lot, Steamboat Road, SteamboatRoad Commuter Garage, Museum Drive

Admission to the Outdoor Festivals and the Museum during this weekend is $10 for all, and Children under 5 are free.

LIFE: Six Women Photographers - Guided Gallery Tour

May 5th & 19th | 1:00pm-1:30pm | Greenwich Historical Society

Enjoy an in-depth docent-led tour of LIFE: Six Women Photographers, sharing insightful interpretation of the photographs on view, and a modern perspective to understanding the complex social backdrop in which they would have originally been seen by magazine readers.
