Backcountry is the northern community of Greenwich, Connecticut, and is considered to encompass the land north of Merritt Parkway. Backcountry is known for its spacious lots, with an imposed minimum of four acres and its horse facilities and polo fields. Greenwich Land Trust is a sprawling 848-acre conservation area that has a variety of habitats, ranging from marsh to meadows to lush woodlands. The Griffith E Harris, “The Griff” is an award-winning 18-hole Robert Trent Jones designed public golf course.
