Mid-Country is an area of Greenwich considered to have the boundaries generally speaking north of Putnam Avenue, south of the Merritt Parkway and between Riversville Road and west of Stanwich Road. Mid-Country offers homes with one- and two-acre zoning. Homes in this neighborhood have more green space and a greater sense of privacy. Located between Central Greenwich and Back Country mid country offers easy accessibility.
Mid-Country is one of the more desirable sections of Greenwich. Mid-Country offers privacy that stems from its spacious lots. That being said, Mid-Country is a friendly community where neighbors still get to know each other. Residents love the area’s park-like feel and proximity to town as well as back country and all it has to offer.
Mid-Country is primarily residential. It does not have any restaurants or shops because they are prohibited by zoning rules. Living here keeps residents close to all of their favorite shops and eateries while ensuring that Mid-Country remains a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby Greenwich.
Mid-Country features parks, playgrounds and ball fields. If you’re looking to spend time outdoors, there are many great spaces to visit. One popular site is the Babcock Preserve, a 300-acre forested park with picnic areas a swamp, hiking and bridle paths. There are four recreational private membership clubs with facilities in Mid-Country: Burning Tree Country Club, where members get to enjoy several fun activities and amenities, including a high-end golf course, racquet sport courts, a pool, and more; Greenwich Country Club , offering golfing, swimming, and more; Round Hill Country Club and the Field Club.
